I’m Lauryn Crowley, wife of Andrew and mom to two precious little boys, Liam and Gavin.  We call Ocala, FL home and are blessed to be surrounded by good friends and much of our amazing family.

The Story Behind Momazine

In May of 2005 Andrew and I were gifted with our first son, Liam.  We were young, living in a strange town and totally unprepared for the journey of parenthood.  Some of the difficulties we encountered were things easy to take for granted when you’ve grown up in a smaller town like Ocala.  Things like finding a doctor, a church to get involved in, friends, places to go, those all became a chore rather than an already stable part of our lives.

At that time I saw what a need there is for a local resource for MOMS in particular.  I began to work on Momazine in the Spring of 2007, but as many times happens, life intervened and my project took a back seat.  During the last several years we’ve managed to move back home, add to our family and settle back in to our unique Ocala community.  I’ve also been able to get Momazine up and running again, this time supporting local Ocala moms.

If you are a mom new to the Ocala area,  you will find a wealth of information on local parks, play areas, businesses, sales, events, etc.  Moms who are already familiar with Ocala will find new information as well as have the opportunity to share their knowledge with the Momazine community.  This is a journey for me and I will be adding new pages of information continuously.  I’ll share things I find around town, on-line, and even information you send me.  Let’s build a community of moms together!
